Jay-Z has moved to dismiss a rape lawsuit that also names Sean "Diddy" Combs, denouncing the case as part of an "extortion saga." The rapper and entrepreneur filed legal documents requesting the dismissal, arguing that the claims lack merit and are intended to exploit their public profiles. Jay-Z's legal team has also called for an end to what they describe as a baseless and opportunistic attempt to tarnish his reputation.

One day after Jay-Z was named in a sexual assault lawsuit involving Sean "Diddy" Combs, the music mogul filed a motion to dismiss the case, according to legal documents obtained by Fox News Digital.

Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, also requested the court reject the plaintiff's demand to proceed anonymously. The lawsuit accuses Jay-Z and Combs of raping a minor at an MTV VMAs after-party in 2000.

In his motion to dismiss, Jay-Z accused Texas attorney Tony Buzzbee of orchestrating a "sprawling extortion saga," which he described as "base and measured in dollars."

The lawsuit, originally filed in October, was refiled in New York on Sunday by an anonymous accuser, who claims that Jay-Z raped her while Combs and an individual known as "Celebrity B" allegedly watched.
