Linda Cardellini Joins HBO's DTF St. Louis

Linda Cardellini has signed on to star in HBO's upcoming series DTF St. Louis, created, directed, and executive produced by Steven Conrad (Patriot). She joins a stellar cast that includes Jason Bateman and David Harbour in the seven-episode dark comedy-drama.

The show centers on "a love triangle between three adults grappling with middle-age malaise, which culminates in one of them meeting a tragic end," according to HBO's logline. Cardellini is set to play a character named Carol, though further details—including her role in the love triangle—are being kept under wraps. The series is currently in preproduction.

DTF St. Louis has been in the works for over two years and was initially developed under the title My Dentist’s Murder Trial, inspired by a 2017 New Yorker article by James Lasdun. While Pedro Pascal was originally attached alongside Harbour, the project has since evolved into an entirely original story.

In addition to Conrad, the series is executive produced by Bateman and Michael Costigan of Aggregate Films; Harbour; Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal, and Steve Tisch of Escape Artists; Molly Allen; Bruce Terris; Kristina Wenson of Bravo Axolotl; and MGM Television.

Cardellini, a two-time Emmy nominee for Dead to Me, is currently featured in Hulu's holiday film Nutcrackers and will next appear in Netflix’s No Good Deed, premiering December 12. Her recent work includes roles in Marvel's Hawkeye, Max’s Creature Commandos, and the film A Simple Favor. She is represented by CAA, Shelter, and Jackoway Tyerman.
