'Monday Night Football' Doubleheader: Vikings Face Bears, Raiders Host Falcons to Close Week 15
The final Monday Night Football doubleheader of the season is here, with four teams wrapping up Week 15 of the NFL regular season.
Game 1: Vikings Host Bears
In the first matchup, the Minnesota Vikings will host the Chicago Bears in a key NFC North clash. While the Bears have already been eliminated from playoff contention, the Vikings still have plenty on the line. Minnesota officially clinched a postseason berth on Sunday but continues to trail the Detroit Lions in the division standings.
With the Lions battling numerous injuries, the door remains open for Minnesota to win out and potentially secure a home game in the first round of the playoffs.
Game 2: Raiders vs. Falcons
The second game features the Las Vegas Raiders hosting the Atlanta Falcons. The Raiders, already out of playoff contention, are in a tight race with the New York Giants for the No. 1 overall pick in next year’s NFL Draft. A loss on Monday would move them closer to that top spot.
Meanwhile, the Falcons are looking to bounce back after a four-game losing streak. Now sitting at 6-7, Atlanta has fallen behind the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC South. A win on Monday would help keep their playoff hopes alive as they aim for their first postseason appearance since 2017. However, quarterback Kirk Cousins will need to improve after throwing eight interceptions during the Falcons’ skid, including six over the last two weeks.
