‘Vanderpump Rules’ Star James Kennedy Arrested on Domestic Violence Charge
James Kennedy, known for his role on Vanderpump Rules, was arrested for misdemeanor domestic violence, according to TMZ.
Police responded to a call Tuesday night at a home in Burbank, California, following reports of an argument between Kennedy, 32, and an unidentified woman. Witnesses claimed Kennedy “grabbed” the woman during the altercation. However, officers reportedly observed no visible injuries on her.
Kennedy and his girlfriend, Ally Lewber, 28, had attended Kathy Hilton’s Christmas party earlier that evening. Authorities have not confirmed whether Lewber was involved in the incident.
Kennedy was taken into custody and later released on a $20,000 bail. The Burbank City Attorney’s Office is reviewing the case to determine if charges will be filed.
The Vanderpump Rules star has been dating Lewber since January 2022, following high-profile relationships with fellow cast members Kristen Doute and Raquel Leviss.
In a recent interview, Lewber described their relationship as being “the best that we’ve ever been,” attributing their progress to the pause in filming.
Kennedy joined Vanderpump Rules in 2014 and achieved sobriety in 2023 after the fallout from Tom Sandoval’s affair with Leviss. Lewber previously praised Kennedy for his growth, noting his commitment to therapy and sobriety.
The arrest comes amid changes to Vanderpump Rules, with Bravo recently announcing a reboot featuring a new cast for Season 12. Lewber has shared that Kennedy is “grieving” his departure but remains proud of his journey on the show.
The Post has reached out to Kennedy’s representatives for comment.
