**'28 Years Later' Trailer: A Zombified Cillian Murphy Haunts Jodie Comer in Thrilling Danny Boyle Sequel Teaser**

'28 Years Later': First Trailer Teases Danny Boyle's Long-Awaited Zombie Sequel

After nearly three decades, the highly anticipated sequel to Danny Boyle and Alex Garland’s iconic zombie apocalypse saga is finally here. 28 Years Later promises to be worth the wait, as evidenced by its gripping first trailer.

Set against the haunting backdrop of Taylor Holmes’ recording of Rudyard Kipling’s war poem Boots, the trailer unveils a post-apocalyptic England. Aaron Taylor-Johnson roams lush green fields armed with a bow and arrow, hinting at a world drastically changed by survival.

Cillian Murphy’s Jim, last seen in 28 Days Later, appears to return—now zombified after succumbing to the dreaded “Rage Virus.” In the trailer, he menacingly looms over Jodie Comer’s character, though Murphy’s role seems limited as his name is absent from promotional materials. While Murphy serves as an executive producer, he did not feature in 28 Weeks Later.

The film’s tagline, “Time didn’t heal anything,” sets the tone for what’s to come. Premiering on June 20, 2025, the movie kicks off a planned 28 Years Later trilogy. Joining the franchise are newcomers Taylor-Johnson, Comer, Ralph Fiennes, Erin Kellyman, and Jack O’Connell.

Produced by Andrew MacDonald, Peter Rice, Alex Garland, and Danny Boyle, the sequel is a collaboration between Columbia Pictures, BFI, DNA Films, and Decibel Films. Prepare for the chaos to unfold.
