**Popular Snack Brand Recalls Limited Potato Chip Bags Over Undeclared Allergen: FDA**

FDA Issues Limited Recall of Lay's Classic Potato Chips Due to Undeclared Milk Allergen

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has announced a "limited recall" of Lay's Classic Potato Chips due to an undeclared milk allergen.

The recall affects certain 13-ounce bags of Lay's Classic Potato Chips, with 6,344 bags identified as potentially containing undeclared milk. The recalled bags were distributed to retail stores and e-commerce distributors in Oregon and Washington and were available for purchase starting November 3, 2024.

Consumers are advised to check their bags for a "Guaranteed Fresh" date of "11 FEB 2025" and manufacturing codes 6462307xx or 6463307xx. If these details match, the bags should be discarded, especially by individuals with milk allergies.

Frito-Lay confirmed no allergic reactions have been reported, although the milk was discovered after a consumer inquiry. No other Lay's products, flavors, or sizes are affected by this recall.

The recall follows similar actions in the food industry, such as a recent chocolate bar recall due to undeclared allergens.
